The Great Commission
My Prayer is that if you read nothing else on this site,
you will at least read this.
To begin, I would like to share a vision God gave me a few years
ago. I will write it just as it was given to me at the time:
"I saw lots of people wandering around in a desert
looking lost, then a big flash came and a door appeared, the
door was leading to God. Some people saw the door and believed
it was Gods, others didn't understand what the door was.
People were trying to tell them that this was the door leading
to life, no more darkness and confusion, but they seemed to
be afraid because they couldn't work it out or understand it,
so they didn't go through the door.
Then I saw the devil deceiving people to follow him, telling
them, "No, that isn't the way, this is the way", then
some started to follow him and the path got greater and greater,
the path them became like a sludgey tar, alot of the people
were stuck in it, not by choice but because they didn't know
what else to do, they were confused and were just being led,
they didnt feel comfortable, but couldn't get out of it. Occassionally
some of the christians pulled some of the people out of the
sludge, but alot of them were doing nothing, they were more
concerned with themselves and not really thinking about those
that were dying"
When God gives you a vision, he gives you the understanding of
the vision as well, and this was the interpretation that I wrote
down at the time of recieving the vision.
"God want's to get people saved through us, there are
not enough people who are allowing God to use them to get people
saved, the door is only there for a time, soon he will call
His people back and the door will close, then the ones who are
left outside will be left in confusion, torment and darkness
forever, many of them because we didn't allow God to use us."
There is an urgency in my Spirit to go and get people saved,
but unless we walk in obedience with God, we cannot be used. Jesus
came into the world for one purpose, to die. He came to die so that
we could live. He came to fulfill the scriptures, to make himself
known so that others could make Him known.
When Jesus returned to heaven, he told His disciples to "Go
and make disciples of all nations" Saints, this is
our commission too. WE ARE WASTING TIME BEING CONCERNED
WITH OUT OWN LIVES!
It is all to easy to get so wrapped up in our own lives, that we
loose the vision of what Jesus called us to do. Jesus has appointed
all of us to make disciples, whenever Jesus worked a miracle, it
is to make himself known. Miracles lead people to Jesus.
God spoke to me and said:
"If you saw a person drowning and about to die,
would you jump into the water to save him?" I
said "Of course I would Lord", He said, "This
is how it is with the people of the world, they are a drowning
people, you have what is necessary to save them, use what I
have given you so that they might be saved also"
Jesus said, that although we are in the world, we are not of the
world. He meant those of us who are Christians, but we are still
here for a purpose. Not to worry about our lives, or gain stature
or respect from the world, but to SAVE IT.
Without this vision, we loose ourselves into the world. The devil
isn't worried, because we are not concerned to save the lost. We
are happy to recieve from God, happy to be blessed and happy to
be encouraged, yet we are embarrassed to go and
tell people about Jesus!
Don't let the devil rob you anymore from being used and blessed
by God by speaking to people about the Kingdom of Heaven and speaking
TRUTH into people's lives. Do not speak in fear, but speak with
the authority Jesus gave you and the conviction of The Holy Spirit
and wisdom and discernment to speak straight into a persons heart.
This is our vision, to MAKE JESUS KNOWN,
to speak His truth and to save a person from drowning. Jesus will
give you the words you need, Jesus will give you the opportunity,
He has already annointed you. Ask God to show you what He showed
me and to give you a heart of compassion for people in your nations,
towns and villages to set the captives free and release the prisoners.
These are the things we should be concerned with, this is the reality
of the world around us, this is why we are here, to preach the good
news to the poor.
