When you became a child of God, you were given a Destiny. We all know
where the destiny leads, but what does the destiny entail?
Fulfilling the destiny God has put on your life does not come easy,
it comes at a cost. We only need to look at the people in the Bible
to see the sacrifices that were made to enable them to be used mightily
by God. The cost is to self. Giving up of the fleshly desires this
world offers to walk with God, listen to His word and make him known
in whatever way He chooses to use you.
"God will stand with you in all
that you do in His name. God will provide you with all that you
need to fulfil the destiny he has called you to."
When God calls you, He doesn't expect you to do it
all on your own, He will be there with you (He wants to make sure
you do a good job ;)) When you are fulfilling His destiny, not only
are other people blessed, but you are blessed also, things might
be difficult at times, but you will be drawn closer to God more
than you have ever known, and what better reward can there be but
to know God more, surely that is the highest reward.
People such as Smith Wigglesworth and Kathryn Kuhlman were called with a destiny, a destiny to fulfil
Gods purposes in their lives. We are fortunate enough to be able
to read about these people, rather than listening to others opinions
of them. This then gives us the opportunity to see portions of their
lives and how they served God and what it cost them. We can see
these were just ordinary people, however, they were prepared to
count the cost and make the sacrifices, and in doing so, God was
able to do wonders through their ministries.
Fulfilling Gods destiny in your life is a venture. There are no
authors who can tell you what you need to do in your walk with God
in order to fulfil His plans and purposes in your life. God teaches
us through His Holy Spirit and His Word, He will lead and guide you. Fulfilling
His destiny in your life is a process, it's your very own walk with
God.
When we look at the great men in the Bible, such as Moses, Abraham,
David and Paul, we can see that these people were far from perfect,
all had sinned and falling short of the glory of God, (Romans
3:23) just like you and me, but Thank God that The Lord
is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all
generations. (Psalm 100v5). Because of Gods mercy,
although we sin, we can ask for Gods forgiveness, and we can continue
on pressing forward into the destiny God has set before us. We truly
are a blessed people.
